Custom LED Strip Engineering and Fast Sampling
DENO competes on custom development capability and sampling speed rather than catalogue size. FPCB artwork, roll-to-roll plating, SMT assembly, silicone coating and extrusion and the photometric laboratory are all in-house, so a custom LED strip is changed at design level instead of being substituted with the nearest stock item.
Lead time is decided by how far a request sits from a board DENO already runs, not by order value. The exact date is confirmed in the feasibility reply within one working day of receiving the requirement.
Sampling and Delivery Lead Times
Ranges are working days excluding Chinese public holidays. Third-party certification testing and customer-supplied components are not included.
- Specification change on an existing board (different LED package, CCT, CRI or LED density): from 1 working day.
- General customisation (changed voltage, power per metre, cutting interval, wiring or encapsulation): 3 to 5 working days.
- Non-standard build requiring new FPCB artwork or dedicated tooling: 1 to 3 weeks, confirmed case by case.
- Mass production after sample approval: 1 to 2 weeks on the same in-house lines as the sample.
What DENO Customises at Engineering Level
- Non-standard voltage and power: 5 V, 12 V, 24 V, 48 V and AC 220 V designs, linear constant-current segments, custom power per metre and drive current, single-end, both-end or mid-strip feed layouts.
- Shaped boards and special dimensions: PCB widths from 3 mm to 30 mm, single or multi-row, cutting intervals down to one LED per cut, shaped outlines and bend reliefs, continuous electroplated roll-to-roll circuits with no intermediate PCB splice joints.
- Special colour and spectrum: 1800 K to 6500 K plus custom off-locus points, CRI Ra 80 / 90 / 95+, violet-excited full-spectrum builds with R9 above 90, tunable white, dim-to-warm, RGB, RGBW and RGB+CCT layouts, SDCM binning down to 1 step.
- Construction and encapsulation: IP20 to IP68 by coating, silicone extrusion or injection moulding, custom silicone profile and diffuser hardness, UL3239 and other wire types, custom lead length, connectors, end caps and private-label printing.
The Custom Development Process, Step by Step
- 01 Requirement intake, same day: send a drawing, a spec sheet or the performance target and an engineer is assigned to the project.
- 02 Feasibility reply within 1 working day: what is buildable as specified, what needs a design change, what needs new artwork or tooling.
- 03 Technical proposal and quotation in 1 to 2 working days: full specification sheet, photometric estimates, BOM options and tiered pricing.
- 04 Sample build, 1 day to 3 weeks by complexity, following the lead-time table above.
- 05 Validation and compliance files in parallel: measured lumen output, efficacy, CCT and CRI on the actual sample plus CE, RoHS, REACH, UL/ETL and EU 2019/2015 ErP documentation.
- 06 Mass production and QC in 1 to 2 weeks: automated SMT, AOI, 100 per cent aging test and lot-level SDCM binning records for repeat orders.
What We Need From You for a Same-Week Quotation
- Application and installation environment, which decides IP rating, silicone construction and thermal derating.
- Operating voltage and available driver, which determine circuit architecture and whether linear constant current is needed.
- Target light output in lm/m or lux on the surface, plus the power budget.
- CCT, CRI and colour-consistency requirement.
- Run length, cutting interval and feed positions.
- Mechanical drawing or profile the strip must fit.
- Quantity for sampling and for the first production order.
- Target market and the certification required.
